VEL (Ansin 803)
The teacher station in the VEL has the ability to project and play audio from the desktop computer, your laptop, a DVD, or Blu-ray. All of these options are controlled using the rack on the desk to the right of the teacher station. The switcher (red buttons) allows you to switch between different sources easily; simply use the number that corresponds to your input.
Input 1: Teacher Station Computer
Input 2: Blu Ray Player
Input 4: Visitor HDMI (cable hanging under the desk)
Projector
Turn on the projector using the remote (this may take a minute to warm up).
The projector itself should always be set to "HDMI 1" - we will always use the switcher on the rack to toggle our source.
To temporarily mute the projector, use the “blank" button on the projector remote.
Audio
The volume is controlled by the silver knob to the right of your monitor.
The correct audio setting for the speakers is “VS-116DT”
If you are playing audio from an NLE like Premiere, be sure that the audio hardware preferences within the NLE match the Mac’s system settings.
You should never need to adjust the knobs on the rack itself, but it is possible that somebody else may have. Check that each of these knobs are pointing towards 6.

Desktop
To display the desktop of the teacher station, change the Input Selector on the rack to 1.
If the Resolution looks low on the projector, you may need to manually change this setting in the System Display Preferences.
There are two main ways to display the desktop - as a mirror of the teacher station screen, or as a second monitor. Mirroring should be on by default. If you'd like to change this, open the system settings.
Navigate to Displays
Click on the second display - "VS-611DT"
Next to "Use as" open the drop down menu and select "Extended display" to stop mirroring. If you'd like to return to mirroring, open the same drop down and select "mirror for LG 24LD4KLB"
Visitor Laptop
To display your laptop's screen, use the HDMI and auxiliary cable under the TS desk.
If your laptop does not have an HDMI output, adapters are available in the 810 annex.
Once you are connected, change the Input Selector on the rack to 4, and your screen should display.
To play audio from your laptop, make sure the auxiliary cable is plugged into your device and the output is set correctly on your machine.
Blu-ray/DVD
To display a Blu-ray or DVD, power on the Panasonic player in the rack. Change the Input Selector on the rack to 2. The Blu-ray player should now appear on the projector. The remote control for the player can be found in the 810 Annex.
