Overview
DMG Lumiere SL1 4' Bicolor LED Kit has everything (except for a shot bag) to build the 4' (122cm) Bi-color LED Panel. It's rolling case is easy to transport and it comes with a light stand.
This panel is a great light for fill and other types of light needs. It is bicolor and can be turned to Tungsten or Daylight and any Kelvin in between.

Quick Start Guide
First Steps
- Opening the Light Stand
- Loosen the tie-down by the legs to open the legs.
- Open the legs outward and down. Spread the legs so the spreaders are parallel with the ground. Lock the leg tie-down.
- To raise the stand, loosen the riser section tie-downs, one at a time, and pull upward.
- Try to start with the lower sections to get to your preferred height for more stability.
- Once you are at a good working height, one that allows you easy access the top pin without reaching, lock the risers.
- It is best to mount the light at a height you can easily reach and adjust the final height after the light is attached
- Put a shot bag on its leg (VENDED SEPARATELY)
- Mounting Panel to the Stand NEED EDC PICS
- Connect the baby spud adapter to the panel by lining up the pins on the black plate the holes in the middle on the back of the panel.
- Twist and lock the baby spud adapter into the panel
- Connect the other side to the light stand's baby pin.
- Ensure the tie-down on the stand adapter side of the. baby spud adapter is loosen to receive the baby pin.
- Tighten the stand adapter side tie-down securely.
- You can adjust the angle of the light by loosening the black tie-down on the baby spud side.
- Always tighten securely after you have set your angle.
- Connecting the power supply

- Connect the control unit to the panel by lining up the pin on its back to the holes next to the word POWER SUPPLY.
- Follower the arrow to twist the control unit into place until it clicks.

- Connecting the Control Unit
- Connect the control unit to the panel by lining up the pin on its back to the holes next to the word DRIVER.
- Follower the arrow to twist the control unit into place until it clicks.
- Connecting the V-Mount Battery Plate
- Connect the battery plate to top of the control unit by lining up the pins and twisting it in until it clicks
You can also set up the control box & power supply / V-Mount Battery Plate without connecting them to the LED Panel. Use the provided header cable to connect to the LED panel from your control box's preferred location.
Powering
- Powering using Wall Power with Control Unit, Power supply / V-Mount Battery Plate ATTACHED to the LED panel.
- Connect the cable coming off the panel to the control box.
- Line up the pins & holes and push in.
- Twist the collar to lock the cable & port together.
- Connect the yellow/orange connector from the power supply to the control unit.
- Line up the connectors and push in until it clicks.
- Plug the power supply into the wall using the provided AC cable.
- Connect the cable coming off the panel to the control box.
- Powering using Wall Power with Control Unit, Power supply / V-Mount Battery Plate DETACHED to the LED panel.
- Connect the cable coming off the panel to the header cable.
- Line up the pins & holes and push in.
- Twist the collar to lock the cables together.
- Connect the other side of the header cable to the control unit.
- Line up the pins & holes and push in.
- Twist the collar to lock the cables together.
- Connect the yellow/orange connector from the power supply to the control unit.
- Line up the connectors and push in until it clicks.
- Plug the power supply into the wall using the provided AC cable.
- Connect the cable coming off the panel to the header cable.
- Powering Using V-Mount Power
- Make sure the V-Mount Battery Plate is attached to the Control Unit
- Do not connect the power supply from previous steps.
- Connect the yellow/orange connector from the battery plate to the control unit.
- Line up the connectors and push in until it clicks.

Slide the V-Mount Battery into the V-Mount Battery Plate.
Operations
- On/Off Switch - Toggle to turn ON/OFF
- Dimming/ Color Temp Dial - Based on selected mode, this dial will change the brightness or color temperature.
- Screen - Based on selected mode, this screen will show the intensity percentage or color temperature (in Kelvin)
- Switch - This will switch the modes between Intensity and Color Temperature.
- When % is lit, this means you are in the intensity mode. When you turn the dial, it will change the brightness. When COLOR is lit, this means you are in the color temperature mode. When you turn the dial, it will change the color temperature.
- 3200 + 5600 - these are color temperature presets. Press 3200 for tungsten/orange. Press 5600 for daylight/blue.
Troubleshooting
Q: The panel is not turning on.
A: Ensure all connections are secure.
OR
Make sure you are using yellow/orange connector based on your power choice (AC or Battery)
OR
There might be a broken cable. If using the header cable, try the build without the header. If the problem persists or the header cable doesn't work, contact the EDC for further assistance.
Q: The dial is turning but is not changing any thing/ the dial is loose/ the dial is detached.
A: Please contact the EDC for further assistance.

Tips & Tricks
- Always secure the light stand with a shot/sand bag.
- The DMG SL1 creates a nice soft light if bounced. Try pointing to to a white wall or board.
- Add a 4x4 silk to soften if you need it more direct.
