Overview
The DJI RS 3 Pro Gimbal/Stabilizer Kit is a great way to achieve smooth camera movement with out a bulky dolly. It gives you the freedom to follow your subject smoothly while walking and using the handle to pan & tilt. You can also pair it with our Tilta Gimbal Ring and Easy Rig for effortless tracking.
It has ample accessories that allow for wireless video transmission & wireless follow focus that is powered by the handgrip.

Quick Start Overview
First Steps
- Attaching the Extended Grip / Tripod
- Attach the extended grip / tripod by screwing it (2) into the bottom of the grip (1). Unfold the tripod (3)
- Make sure the Grip Lever (5) is in the unlocked position.
- Attach the grip into the gimbal

Mounting a Camera
Be sure to prepare the camera before mounting. Ensure you have removed the lens cap, and the battery & memory card are inserted & all accessories are attached.
- Make sure the DJI is OFF or in Sleep Mode before mounting.
- Toggle the Tilt Lock & Roll Lock to the unlocked position and adjust the gimbal to the position below
- Lock the Tilt Lock & Roll Lock.
- Attach the Upper Quick Release Plate camera by tightening the screw into the bottom of the camera.
- Attach the Lower-Quick Release Plate by toggling its quick release to the Unlocked position (1).
- Insert the camera by sliding the attached Upper Quick Release Plate into the Lower-Quick Release Plate (2)
- After the plates are combined, toggle the lower plate's quick release to the Locked position
- Attach the lens support to the Lower-Quick Release Plate (4)
- Attach the camera to the gimbal by toggling the lever on the Camera Mounting Plate to the Unlocked position (1).
- Insert the Lower Quick Release Plate (2)
- Roughly balance the camera by moving it forward or backward on the camera mounting plate
- Once roughly balanced, toggle the lever on the Camera Mounting Plate to the Locked position (3)

Balancing
Before balancing, the camera needs to be fully configured with all accessories & cables connected.
*The camera build weight CANNOT exceed 9.9 lb or 4.4 Kg *
The gimbal must be OFF or in Sleep Mode.
You must balance the axes in this order:
1. Vertical Tilt Axis
2. Roll Axis
3. Pan Axis
- Balancing Vertical Tilt Axis
- Unlock the Tilt Axis lock (1) and loosen mounting plate knob (2)
- Rotate the camera so the lens is facing upward.
- Make sure the camera is not top heavy or bottom heavy.
- If Top-Heavy - move the camera backward (3).
- If Bottom-Heavy - move the camera forward (3).
- Tighten the mounting plate knob while holding the camera pointing upward. The Tilt Axis is balanced when the camera is steady while facing upward.
- Balancing Depth for the Tilt Axis
- Rotate the Tilt Axis so the camera lens is pointing forward.
- Toggle the lever (1) to the unlocked position.
- Make sure the camera is not front heavy or back heavy.
- If Front-Heavy - move the camera backward by turning the knob (2).
- If Back-Heavy - move the camera forward by turning the knob (2).
- Toggle the lever to the locked position.The tilt axis is balanced when the camera is steady while tilted up or down at 45 degree angle.
- Lock the Tilt Axis once balanced.
- Balancing the Roll Axis
- Unlock the Roll Axis (1).
- Toggle the lever on the roll arm to the unlocked position (2).
- Check the direction in which the roll motor swings.
- If the camera rotates to the left, slide it to the right (3)
- If the camera rotates to the right, slide it to the left (3)
- Toggle the lever on the roll arm to the Locked position (2).
- The Roll Axis is balanced when the camera is steady

Lock the Roll Axis
- Balancing the Pan Axis
- Unlock the Pan Axis (1)
- Toggle the lever on the pan arm to the Unlocked position
- While holding the grip, tilt the DJI RS 3 Pro forward and rotate the pan arm until it is parallel with you.
- Check the movement of the pan axis.
- If the camera lens rotates left, push the pan axis to the right (3)
- If the camera lens rotates right, push the pan axis to the left (3)
- Toggle the lever on the pan arm to the Locked position. The pan axis is balanced when the camera is steady when rotating the pan while tilting the grip.

Lock the Pan Axis.
- Auto Tune (Adjusts motor stiffness) - MUST BE BALANCED PROPERLY PRIOR TO AUTO TUNE
- Press and hold the power button to power the gimbal or press once or twice to exit sleep mode.
- Press and hold the M button and Trigger simultaneously to start Auto Tune,
- You can also enable Auto Tune by tapping the Auto Tune icon on the touch screen

- The gimbal will slightly shake and vibrate with some sound - this is normal.

Troubleshooting
Q: Is this kit waterproof?
A: No. Please keep dry.
Q: The Gimbal is not turning on.
A: Check the hand grip's battery level. You can charge it with the provided USB brick & USB C cable
Q: The gimbal isn't steady when in use.
A: The gimbal is not balanced correctly. Rebalance and Auto Tune.
Q: When Auto-Tuning, the gimbal shakes a lot is and is very loud.
A: The gimbal is not balanced correctly. Rebalance and Auto Tune again.
