Troubleshooting
Q: Does this light get hot?
A: Yes. Even though it is LED, it gets very hot. Always wear gloves and let the light cool before packing it away.
Q: Can I use this in the rain?
A: Do not use it in the rain.
Q: I plugged a 1200D in and it shut off, along with the other lights in the room.
A: You have over loaded your location's circuit. This light requires 15 Amps of power. Unplug the 1200D and check your breaker box. Always use a 20 Amp circuit with the 1200d and do not plug in more items that will overload your circuit.
Q: Which reflector should I use?
A: If you want to spread out the light, use the Wide reflector. For a more spotlight beam, use the Narrow Reflector. For something in between, use the Medium Reflector.
Tips & Tricks
- This light is the LED equivalent of a 1200W HMI. And although it is LED - it still gets VERY HOT. Use with gloves and let it cool before packing away.
- If you want to use a diffusion - pick a larger diffusion and set up on a stand in front of the light. Keep it ~ 3ft away from the light to prevent burning the diffusion.
- If you want to stem the light up high - use a 2-rise or 3-rise combo stand instead of a husky baby or c-stand.
