How to "Forget" Wireless Networks

To resolve common connection issues, the first step is to completely "forget" the Emerson Wi-Fi networks on your device. This clears out old settings and allows for a fresh connection.

  2. Click the arrow next to the wireless icon.
  3. Find eduroam in the list, right-click on it, and select "Forget".
  4. Find Emerson Guest in the list, right-click on it, and select "Forget".
  5. You can now reconnect to eduroam. When prompted for your username, be sure to enter your full Emerson email address (e.g., username@emerson.edu).

  1. Click the Wi-Fi icon in the top-right corner of your menu bar.
  2. Click on "Wi-Fi Settings..." or "Network Settings...".
  3. In the window that opens, find the eduroam network in your list of known networks.
  4. Click the three-dots icon (...) next to eduroam and select "Forget This Network".
  5. Repeat the process for the Emerson Guest network if it is in the list.
  6. You can now reconnect to eduroam. When prompted for your username, be sure to enter your full Emerson email address (e.g., username@emerson.edu).
