SOUNDSTAGE EQUIPMENT GUIDELINES

EQUIPMENT PROCEDURE AND GUIDELINE

No Soundstage Equipment is to leave the stage for any reason.

All soundstage equipment has been procured for the sole purpose of being used on the soundstage. Because of this some equipment at the Soundstage is unique and does not have counterparts in the EDC. Therefore it is important to ask for training on specific items that you may be unfamiliar with. Please contact the soundstage management for any help with booking a demo time with the equipment.

A current list of the Soundstage Equipment for rental can be found here.

Prep Guidelines

  • Faculty and Students must submit Equipment Lists 1 Week prior to the start of class or productions.
  • The Production team, faculty, and GAs are responsible to keep track of what is borrowed from the Soundstage, its completed return, and to ensure that the Soundstage equipment does not get mixed up with EDC or Personal Equipment brought to the Soundstage.
  • Please carefully note any damage to equipment at checkout.

Student/Faculty Responsibilities

  • All individuals who sign the Par FSS Loan Agreement are financially responsible for any theft, loss, or damage to equipment.
  • Any lost, damaged or stolen equipment must be reported immediately. Delay in reporting may result in the potential revoking of the student’s soundstage privileges.
  • Student transcripts and future reservations will be held until payment has been received or the incident is resolved.
  • Certain pieces of gear require students to be trained on prior to use. It is up to the production to ensure that they have done the appropriate training prior to their production dates.
  • Production is responsible for the return of all equipment in the condition it was given.
  • It is expected that organization and use of equipment will be done at a professional level during the course of production, regardless of the duration or intensity of the shoot.
  • Proper usage and organization of parts ensures that the next student working on the stage will have access to the best equipment in the best condition as was afforded you.
  • All cameras and lenses will be kept securely overnight in the soundstage office.
  • Media Cards can be provided to the Production / Class when needed. But it is the responsibility of the user to ensure they have a hard drive with enough storage on it to offload their media to. You cannot leave with a Media Card. You can only get 1 media card per device at a time
  • All equipment must be neatly organized (wrapped back) at the end of each day of production. Anything left around not being used should be put away. See Wrap Guidelines.
