Device Specific Instructions (Boston)
Registering Simple Wireless Devices (Boston)
Do you have a device that cannot connect to eduroam? Some devices only prompt for a password, rather than the Username + Password required for eduroam .
Devices such as Chromecasts, Apple TVs, Kindles, printers, and many portable game consoles generally do not support the "Enterprise" encryption used on eduroam, but you can register them here in Clearpass and connect them to Emerson Devices!
For more detailed instructions, including how to get your device's MAC address, see our guide on Connecting Entertainment Devices to the Network.
NOTE: When logging into Clearpass, type your username as firstname.lastname or firstname_lastname, NOT firstname_lastname@emerson.edu. It will not work if you include the @emerson.edu.
Emerson Guest Network (Boston)
Are you or do you have a guest who'd like to join our network? Simply connect to the wireless network Emerson Guest. Open a web browser and go to any page, and you'll be redirected to our guest registration form. Provide your name and email address, and you're good to go! Access is only available for 24 hours before having to re-register—if you have a longer stay at Emerson, please contact the Help Desk for a longer term guest account.
