Asset Essentials User Guide

Asset Essentials is the Emerson Facilities Work Order Management System. You can use this guide to learn how to submit and track work requests.

Getting Started

You can submit a work request online via facilities.emerson.edu or through the mobile application. Your account is created automatically through Single Sign On using your Emerson email address. All users will default to a Global location and can select the appropriate site when creating a request (Boston, Los Angeles or Kasteel Well).

In order to set your time zone, navigate to profile in the top right of the page, then select My Profile, choose Custom Settings on the left under the name and photo option, then enter password question, answer, and time zone.

Mobile App Instructions

Downloading and Logging In

To set up the mobile app for the first time, follow the directions for download and use the following Client ID: emersoncollege.

Submitting a Work Request:

  • Tap the + Add button at the bottom of your screen.
  • Select + Request.
  • The request will automatically default to your most recently used site, which you can change if needed.
  • Choose the appropriate Work Category.
  • Select + Add Location.
  • Enter the Area/Room Number.
  • Provide a description of the Work Requested.
  • Optionally, you can add a photo by tapping Take Photo or Add Photo.
  • Click Submit Request at the bottom of the screen.

After submission, you will be directed to the My Requests page, where you can view the status of your request at any time. You will also get email updates when your request's status changes.

Submitting a Work Request:

  • Select the correct Work Category.
  • Choose the Location.
  • Enter the Area/Room Number.
  • Describe the Work Requested.
  • You have the option to Upload any Documents/Images.
  • Click Submit in the top left corner of the screen.

You will then be taken to the My Requests page. Here, you can check the status of your request whenever you like and will receive email notifications about any status changes.

Please use the ticketing system for Facilities-related work requests, which can include building-related issues or damage, temperature concerns, event setups, space modifications, housekeeping, and key requests, among others.
