Connecting from a Mac
- After logging in to the computer, make sure Finder is the active application in the top left menu of your screen. Once that is the case, use the "Go" menu and select "Connect to server" (or hit CMD+K)
- Depending on where you are on campus, there may be a list of Favorite Servers already available to you. If not, you can use one of these addresses to access the portion of Isilon you're looking for, navigating to your specific section once connected.

- If you are looking for something else on Isilon, simply enter smb://bin.emerson.edu. This will bring up an interface that lets you look through the entirety of Isilon like you would a hard drive. Some of Isilon will be unavailable to you. If you believe that you should have access to something that you cannot open, contact IT.
- Once you select "Connect", you may be prompted to enter your emerson username (firstname_lastname) and password.
- Navigate to your section and download your file by dragging and dropping it to your desktop or another Finder window.
Connecting from a PC
- Search for "Run" under programs.
- In the Run window, enter \\bin.emerson.edu and select "OK". You are also able to type this address into File Explorer. You may be prompted to enter your emerson username (firstname_lastname) and password.
- Authenticate, and if the option is available, designate the domain as EMERSON.
- You should see an interface that lets you look through the entirety of Isilon like you would a hard drive. Some of Isilon will be unavailable to you. If you believe that you should have access to something that you cannot open, contact IT.
Connecting Remotely
