Overview

This article will go over how to record using the XR Studio camera's output (whether the live-composited feed or the raw feed), and where the resulting video file can be found.

Setting up for Recording

  • Looking at the bottom row of Stream Deck shortcuts, assuming you are working from the default XR Studio Stream Deck profile, you will have four options for selecting a resolution & format recording preset: 4K H.265, 4K Apple ProRes, HD H.265, HD Apple ProRes.
  • Press the button corresponding to your desired recording preset. This will not start the recording but rather make sure that your recording output is set as needed.
  • In order to actually begin recording, you will need to press the Record button using the bottom left shortcut on the Stream Deck. When recording is active, it will be highlighted in Red.

Where are my Recordings?

  • Recorded video, by default, is output to the XR Studio Recording folder on the EML-XR-NAS. Navigate over to the folder, sort by Date Modified, and find the latest recorded video(s).
