Adobe Media Encoder Permissions

Introduction

In some of the post facilities, Adobe Media Encoder encounters an error message at launch.

If you receive the "Unable to create workspace folders" error message at launch, follow these steps to use Media Encoder. 

Enabling Permissions

First, Quit Adobe Media Encoder.

Next, open Finder and navigate to your Documents folder

Copy the "Adobe" folder inside the Documents folder

Paste this folder on your desktop. This will serve as a backup if you have any projects saved here. (Note: While we do not recommend saving projects to the Mac, we recognize that this is an easy mistake to make. It is recommended to save your projects and media on an external drive.)

Next, return to the Documents folder. Delete the Adobe folder (right click, Move to Trash)

Launch Media Encoder again.

Now, you should be able to use Media Encoder without Encountering a permissions error.
