Media Support for Special Events

IT User Services provides technical assistance for special events on campus. Services include setting up and operating data projection systems, facilitating video and teleconferencing, and providing amplification for speakers.

Please call 617-824-8080 or email helpdesk@emerson.edu with as much advance notice as possible to ensure that we can accommodate your needs.

On-Campus Events

  • For any on-campus events, please reach out to us 2 weeks in advance so we can work together on appropriate equipment/support solutions.
  • We will outfit all instructional spaces with the equipment prior to the start of classes, and equipment deliveries can be scheduled for event spaces and classrooms on an as-needed basis
  • We can also accommodate equipment set-ups for Zoom meetings in conference rooms. Students, staff, and faculty can schedule equipment to borrow if needed as well.

Requests for video recordings that require multiple cameras or needed for professional archival or broadcast purposes should look to Emerson Productions in Media Technologies and Production (MTP).

User Services staff cannot provide equipment or support at off-campus events.

Online Events

  • Support is also provided for virtual events via Zoom. Please reach out to us at least 2 weeks in advance with information including your event date, time, and anticipated audience size. Webinar licenses are limited and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
