Connecting to WiFi at the W Hotel and Boston Park Plaza Hotel

In Fall 2020, Emerson will be partnering with the Boston Park Plaza Hotel (50 Park Plaza) and the W Boston Hotel (100 Stuart Street) to utilize space for classrooms, and to assign residence to some students. Below you will find information for how to connect to the WiFi in those spaces and who to reach out to for tech support.

For W Boston Residents

Connecting to the Wifi for Residents

    1. On your device, select EmersonCollege from your list of available wireless networks. This will bring you to the W Hotel Guest log in page.
    2. Enter your room number and last name, and click 'Connect'
      • NOTE: Students in a double occupancy room will be given an access code from the hotel
    3. The next screen will ask about duration. You can choose 'My Whole Stay' or a number of days to stay connected. Click the 'Select' button.
    4. On the next screen, click 'Continue Online'.
    5. The W Boston Hotel Website will appear when connected.

Technical Support for Residents

Student residents have two options for assistance:

      1. Dial ‘0’ on the guest room phone to contact the W Boston welcome desk. Hotel staff may connect you with an engineer from GuestTek to assist in troubleshooting.
      2. You can contact GuestTek's customer support center directly by calling 1-866-229-7155. When you call the number it will state “ if you are a guest and need property assistance press 2”. When you press 2, it will connect you with support.

Connecting entertainment devices

Connecting an entertainment device (smart TV, console, streaming device, etc.) to the W Boston's network is a bit different from connecting your computer or phone. Please reach out to GuestTek via the phone number above for assistance.
