Getting Started with Zoom

Getting Started (Desktop App)

Once you’ve followed the steps to create an account and verified that your device meets the system requirements, here’s how you get started:

  1. Download the App

    If you haven’t done so already, download Zoom and open it.

  2. Sign in

    Once Zoom is opened, select Sign In, then Sign In with SSO. Enter "Emerson" into the text field and hit Continue. Then sign in with your Emerson username and password.

  3. Join a Meeting

    In the Zoom app window, select Join to enter an existing meeting, or follow the invite or Zoom link you received from the Host to join that meeting. 

  4. Create a Meeting

    To start a meeting for others to join, select Start with video, choose an audio conference option, and select Invite at the bottom to invite participants.

Getting Started (From the Web)

  1. Sign in

    Go to emerson.zoom.us. Once there, sign in with your Emerson email and password.

  2. Schedule, Join, or Host a Meeting

    In the top right, you can choose to Schedule, Join, or Host a meeting. For joining and hosting a meeting, you’ll be prompted to Download and open Zoom.

  3. Download and Launch the App

    Click the Zoom download at the bottom of the page. You can also download it here.

  4. Join a Meeting

    In the Zoom app window, select Join to enter an existing meeting, or follow the invite you received from the Host to join that meeting.
