Cognos Support

Cognos is IBM's business intelligence (BI) tool that designated staff use for data reporting and business analysis.  Designated users access objects such as operational reports and queries through the Cognos BI portal.   Reports can be saved in a variety of formats, such as PDF and Excel, and automatically emailed to recipients.

Supported:

  • Requests for access from data owners/data custodians.   An ERP access request form must accompany all requests.
  • Support requests are handled through Self-Service
  • Changes to departmental folders, views and access.
  • Requests for ODS refreshes.
  • System and software upgrades to meet business needs.

Best Effort:

  • Access requests may take up to 48 hours.

Not Supported:

  • Requests not submitted by data custodians.
  • Unsupported third party reporting tools.
