Logging in

You can access your free lynda.com account anywhere you have an internet connection. However, the steps for logging in differ slightly between the website and the mobile app.

Log into the website

The easiest way to log in with your web browser is to:

  1. Go to lynda.emerson.edu. Your browser will show you an Emerson login page (pictured above).
  2. Enter your Emerson username and password and click Log in
Note: If your browser is already logged into another Emerson single sign-on service (such as Median, Canvas, Google Apps for Education, etc.), you will already be logged in to your lynda account.
  3. That's it!

Log into the mobile app

When you log into the mobile app (or directly at www.lynda.com), you will first need to designate that you are signing in through an emerson.edu account.

  1. Select Login from the app's main menu
  2. Tap Organization or School
  3. Type in emerson.edu and tap Go
  4. Your device will open a browser window with the Emerson login page. Enter your Emerson credentials and select Log in
Note: If your browser is already logged into another Emerson single sign-on service, you won't have to re-enter your Emerson credentials here.
    Mobile app login steps 2–4
  5. That's it–you're logged in! Your device will return to the lynda.com app

Now what?

Now that you're logged in, you have full access to lynda.com's training library. You can browse tutorials by subject, software, or author, or just use the search bar to find what you need. There is also a menu called my courses, from which you can access your usage history, any bookmarks you may have set, your course-completion certificates, and any courses you may have put in your queue for future viewing.

But I've already paid for a lynda.com account!

Don't worry, you’re likely eligible for a refund.
